JAMIE BENTLEY

1963 -

Jamie began playing squash at age 14 at the Cricket Club in Toronto. He was first a hockey player but after injury, switched to squash.

Jamie has an outstanding record in both hardball singles and hardball doubles squash. Between 1980 and 2008, Jamie amassed six provincial, nine national, five U.S., and over 70 professional titles.

In Ontario, he was a five-time Ontario Doubles Champion and an Ontario Mixed Doubles Champion in 2003. In Canada, he was a two-time Canadian Hardball Singles Champion in 1989 and 1995, a six-time Canadian Open Doubles Champion, and he won the Canadian Mixed Doubles 40+ Championship in 2008.

In North America, he was the 1993 North American Doubles Professional Champion, and a three-time U.S. Open doubles champion in 1995, 1996, and 1998.

Most notably, Jamie became a World Doubles Champion in 1994, 1996, and 2000 and is proud to have won professional events with 16 different partners.

Outside of playing competitively, Jamie has worked at the Cambridge Club for nearly 40 years.
